The images below, were part of a book that I made that was meant to be viewed while listening to the song "Breathe Me" by Sia.
Senior Project
Artist Statement
I set up these installation pieces so that the viewer could step inside, be closed off from the world and put in headphones with the selected music listed below. The idea was to invite the viewer to take time experiencing the photographs and scene as a photographer would rather than just glancing at it. This took a great many hours, but I felt so good in the end to have actually pulled off my vision for this project.
Structures: 6.5' tall and 88" in length
Prints: 40"x60"
Music:
Morning shots - "Echo" & "Porcelain" by Helen Jane Long
Evening shots - "Clair de Lune" by Debussy; APM Orchestra version & "Any other Name" by Thomas Newman
These shots do not do it justice, but I hope you get an idea of my purpose.
On location for class final critique
